PCB terminal blocks handle 76 A

November 2005 Enclosures, Cabling & Connectors

WAGO 16 mm2 PCB terminal blocks, Series 745, are ENEC approved with rated current up to 76 A and have UL approval for 65 A. Therefore, they are best suited for power electronics applications such as frequency converters or high-performance power supply units and battery chargers. The rated voltage is proportional to the following pin spacings: 10 mm, 15 mm and 20 mm. The 20 mm pin spacing version meets the 600 V requirement of UL 1059. The following two versions complement the range of products: 4 mm2 (AWG 12) terminal blocks are available in 5 mm, 7,5 mm and 10 mm pin spacing; 6 mm2 (AWG 10) terminal blocks are available with a pin spacing of 7,5 mm and 10 mm.

Practical features add to the convenience of the product: Two or four solder pins per pole provide high retention strength of the terminal strip to the printed circuit board and guarantee efficient current distribution. Built in jumper slots for pluggable comb type jumper bars allow commoning of potentials or the connection of current circuits in parallel. Separate test slots can be accessed even with the wires connected, and marker receptacles for snap-on type WAGO WMB and miniature WSB marker cards are available. Mixed terminal strips can be assembled using different housing colours for the formation of groups. For example, grey (L), blue (N) and green-yellow (PE) housings can be used in mains connection applications.

Terminal blocks with blue housings (starting with pin spacing 7,5 mm) are suitable for EExi applications. If required, snap-on type endplates with screw fixing flange provide an additional fixing on the printed circuit board.
