Suitable for use in applications requiring stress or load measurements such as mining rock bolt loads, weighbridges, structural concrete and steel stresses, Vangard Digital has developed the VDG loadcell logger.

This powerful unit is designed for operation in harsh environments. Battery powered with 1,1 Ah NiMH battery pack up to 6000 reading, at sample rates of 1 sec to 1 day, can be stored. There is the facility to download data to a computer via the RS232 serial port and data can also be captured into MSExcel for simplified report and graph generation.

For field downloads, Vangard Digital can supply a handheld communicator unit to retrieve data from loggers at remote sites. In addition, the loggers are GSM modem compatible to allow data transfer via SMS. Typical accuracies achieved are closer than 0,5% full scale with linearity also within 0,5%. The size of the loggers is 32 mm in diameter in a length of 220 mm weighing in at 240 g.
