The maximum allowed temperature for the new Krohne level radar devices Optiwave and Optiflex has now been increased from 150°C to 200°C (measured at the flange). The higher temperature can be reached without a pressure derating. Krohne also offers the devices with a higher maximum temperature for the same price. Extensive tests preceded the realisation of the customers' wishes. Consequently the new generation of level radar devices from Krohne can be used in more applications than before.
Thanks to 26 GHz FMCW radar technology, very high dynamic peformance and bandwidth, the Krohne Optiwave 2-wire radar level gauge achieves high resolution, accuracy and maximum application reliability. The start-up procedure for Optiwave and Optiflex is uncomplicated using the quick set-up. The standard signal converter with large graphic display is operated by piezoelectric pushbuttons from outside the housing. Both devices have Hart and are supplied together with PACTware and a non-cost DTM with full functionality including data recording and reproduction. Otpiwave and Optiflex both have a high standard accuracy of ±3 mm.
The Krohne Optiflex is not only extremely accurate but it can also measure interfaces as thin as 50 mm. Particularly helpful in practice has proved to be the integrated zero echo recording for the first metre.
