The Variosub SCRJ plug connector from Phoenix Contact brings fibre-optic technology into the harsh world of the Industrial Ethernet. This connector uses the same external connector profile as the Variosub RJ 45/IP 67 plug connector, described in standard draft IEC 61076-3-106 and specified by the IAONA for heavy-duty use. It makes Ethernet applications possible with high EMC loads and over long distances.
To protect against dirt and moisture, the connector complies with protection category IP 67. Thanks to its push-pull locking device, the connector requires no tools and holds up against the chemical and mechanical demands of the industrial environment. The connector is suitable for gigabit Ethernet transmissions in accordance with IEC 11801 and compatible with plug connector SCRJ as specified by IEC 61754-15. This makes it possible to continue to use standard office cables and testing devices, without the need for additional adapters.
The SC-Simplex-compatible 2,5 mm diameter allows multimode and single-mode fibres to be used. Industrial-quality cables from Phoenix Contact ensure interference-free operation of the installation.
