Super air nozzle

September 2005 Valves, Actuators & Pump Control

Exair's new 1/2 NPT Super Air Nozzle delivers 1,5 kg of strong blowing force when mounted 300 mm away from the target. The force is more than four times that of ordinary air nozzles, making it suitable for blowing heavy materials or for applications where the air nozzle cannot be mounted close to the surface to be blown off, dried or cooled.

The aerodynamic design of the 1/2 NPT Super Air Nozzle directs air to a single point of convergence, delivering a concentrated stream of high velocity airflow with hard-hitting force. The compressed air is ejected through a series of holes located in recessed grooves on the nozzle surface. This assures safe operation since the airflow that exits the nozzle cannot be blocked, as required by OSHA standard 1910.242(b). At 80 PSIG, the air consumption is 1,7 m3/minute (60 SCFM). The sound level of 87 dBA is below the limits of the OSHA maximum allowable noise exposure standard 29CFM 1910.95(a).

The zinc aluminium alloy construction makes the 1/2 NPT Super Air Nozzles suitable for rugged industrial applications. A 25 mm hex body is provided for easy installation using a standard wrench socket. Applications include part drying, machinery and parts cleaning, chip removal, part ejection, liquid blowoff and cooling hot parts.
