Previously used in sensor technology and different fieldbus systems, M12 plug connectors with D-coding in compliance with IEC 61067-2-101 Amendment 1 are now available from Phoenix Contact for industrial Ethernet applications. Using moulded cables that comply with protection category IP67; they are ideal for use in harsh industrial conditions.
A complete product range of single-sided and double-sided cables is available in various lengths between 300 mm and 50 m. The product range also includes a panel feed-through and a custom-assembly plug connector with screw connection. The custom-assembly plug connector - when connected - also complies with protection category IP67.
Extensive shielding makes the system resistant to electromagnetic disturbances. The system meets CAT5 requirements as set down by EN 50173:2002, thus enabling transmission speeds of up to 100 Mbps.
