The 'Aqua Pro 2005' fair in Bulle awarded Krohne's Optiflux with the 'Prix de l'Innovation' for its revolutionary diagnostic concept consisting of 100% device, out-of-spec and application diagnostics. The trade show, which took place 8-10 June, is the most important water and wastewater fair in Switzerland. The jury of technicians' decision for the Optiflux is considered as groundbreaking for the whole industry in the French parts of Switzerland. The 'Prix de l'Innovation' is given only to new products and innovations that have a deep impact on the water and wastewater industry. Léon Sturchler, sales manager of Krohne says: "We are delighted about the prize, which once more confirms the immense skills and capabilities of Krohne in developing state-of-the-art flowmeters.

The '3 x 100%' diagnosis of the Optiflux consists of all the common device diagnostics plus Krohne's unique application diagnosis, accuracy check and linearity check (out-of-spec diagnosis). In this way the customer receives precise information on the state of the device, the quality of the measured value and potential application errors. With its '3 x 100%' diagnosis, the Optiflux is believed to offer a much higher reliability than other devices with a SIL2 certificate - and it exceeds the requirements of VDI/VDE/NAMUR-2650.
