The JUMO dTRANS T04 four-wire transmitter series is a cost-effective device that is dedicated to temperature conversion applications. Pt100 or Pt1000 sensors or potentiometers up to 10 kΩ can be connected to detect resistance signals. The measuring range as well as the output signal can be set on the instrument itself.

The technician is able to select the required span, on-site, from a choice of 15 measuring ranges, or to define the output signal as 0 to 10 V or 0/4 to 20 mA. The only tool required is a screwdriver. Measuring ranges and outputs are calibrated with a high degree of precision and do not require any further fine calibration.

A user-friendly set-up program is available for non-standard ranges that cannot be set on the instrument itself. It can be used for configuring these ranges without steps as well as for selecting the sensor-monitoring signal. This is made possible by the combination of an analog signal path and digital measurement handling, which has proven to be a dependable method over the years.

Modelled on the housing design intended for circuit breakers, the device can be easily installed in any sub-distribution panel or switchgear cabinet. It is possible to replace or expand existing systems easily and at little cost. The transmitter can be connected without operating instructions, since the complete terminal assignment and the switch combinations are printed on the unit.
