Ceramic flow sensors for aggressive liquids

IFM Electronic has introduced a range of ceramic flow sensors for connection to control monitors. The flow sensors have a high resistance to aggressive media and their one-piece housing is completely manufactured from ceramics. The types with G ¼ and G ½ process connections are available with either a cable or connector.

The sensors detect the flow of liquids on the calorimetric measuring principle. They have a wide monitoring and temperature range and can be used in a variety of applications. Cabled units are available to the ATEX group 11 category 2G, as well as control monitors for control cabinet mounting or as Euro cards for 19" racks. Precise evaluation is made in the external control monitor, and via the LED bargraph display, the flow state is indicated.

Available as cable and connector types, the flow sensors are capable of wire-break detection. They have a 2-20 s response time and a 30 bar pressure resistance.
