Enhanced ultrasonic level transmitter

The new Sumpi XP is an ultrasonic level transmitter, capable of measuring dusty solids up to a range of 60 metres. The Sumpi XP also now has five fully programmable relay/alarm outputs, and two isolated 4 to 20 mA outputs.
The Sumpi XP also has a feature where two transducers may be connected to measure the level in two separate silos, or the average level with two transducers in one silo. The unit can then give two separate 4 to 20 mA outputs, for the level in each silo. An averaged or differential level between the two silos can also be calculated and given out on one 4 to 20 mA signal. A high/low selector can also be programmed, to always give a mA output of the silo with the highest/lowest level.
The Sumpi XP has powerful software to pick up true echoes in very dusty and noisy silos. A software package is also available where one can connect the ultrasonic to a laptop PC, and see the echo profile inside a silo. One can then do diagnostics to see what is happening inside a silo. All the Sumpi XP parameters can also be set up with this software, and then saved as a file, for future use, or to e-mail to KAB for help on certain applications.
A new feature allows the display to be used as a graphical display enabling the display to show the echo profile. This display will show the position of the echo and the amount of gain and power the system is using. The new Sumpi XP is so versatile that one channel could be an open channel flowmeter and the other channel could be a 60 m coal or grain silo. Other features include pump control, pump cycling and pump monitoring, making it one of the most versatile ultrasonic level transmitters available.
