Elen Enclosures has introduced the new SAREL 'Spacial 3D' range of steel enclosures. The '3D' range, which replaces the Spacial 3000 enclosure, offers many improvements. It is of robust design and has an IP66 rating, that is, protected against dust and high pressure water spray.

The IP rating is achieved by a continuous foamed-in polyurethane door seal and a 3-point door-locking system. The enclosure is made from mild steel that is specially treated prior to epoxy powder coating to give it excellent resistance to corrosion. This treatment ensures superior adhesion of the powder coating that resists peeling or rust creepage at any point where raw metal is exposed by cutouts or gland holes.

The enclosure is manufactured in a robust folded cross construction, with bevelled door edges for improved rigidity. Easily reversible doors and pre-traced cable gland plates assist ease of use. The Spacial 3D range is available in plain or glazed door and complemented by a full range of accessories, including internal doors, canopies, distribution chassis, and 19" fixed or swing frames. Enclosure sizes vary from 300 x 200 x 150 mm to 1 200 x 1 000 x 300 mm. ATEX-approved versions for hazardous areas are available from the manufacturer on request.
