Krohne is offering the Sick Maihak ultrasonic flowmeter, brand labelled as Krohne Altosonic IV. As was seen from the electromagnetic flowmeter exhibits at this year's Interkama, Krohne has taken a major leap forward in developing a new transmitter generation with a number of additional features, such as meter diagnosis to NAMUR, it also exceeds SIL2. There is application diagnosis and there are accuracy checks. The same concept is destined for the other Sick Maihak products.
The synergy between Krohne and Sick is quite clear - experts in liquid flow and transmitter technology working with experts of gas flow in the oil and gas market. Krohne believes that there will be some major developments in this sector within the near future.
Krohne is well known as a pioneer in ultrasonic liquid flow measurement in the oil and gas industry. With the introduction of the Altosonic V it pioneered multibeam measurement, multiproduct measurement, and custody transfer.
