Fast 2-wire ultrasonic probes

GPC is offering a family of 2-wire ultrasonic probes. These probes cover distances from 130 mm to 10 m with 1" NPT, 1,5" NPT, 2" NPT, mountings. The probes can register up to 16 level readings per second; their makers believe that they are the fastest in the industry. Speed is especially important in applications involving fast filling tanks.

As a result of their high-efficiency, narrow beams and wide frequency bandwidth, these ultrasonic transducers will work in any conditions over a wide temperature range. They are insensitive to mountings and with help of the transceiver and smart signal processing, they eliminate unwanted echoes from tank walls, standpipes and any other objects. The transducers feature self-cleaning action, eliminating any build-up and condensation. The probes require a power supply of between 12 and 28 V d.c. and they produce a 4 to 20 mA output signal. Maximum power consumption is 750 mW.
