Ultrasonic level range up to 8 m

Earlier this year, the engineering team at KAB Instruments successfully upgraded the Shorti ultrasonic level transmitter product line. The range of the Shorti was increased up to 8 m for liquid applications.
Standard features of the Shorti are 5-button keypad for easy programming, large LCD display and temperature compensated transducer. The transducer is available in PVC for normal liquid applications, or an optional PTFE transducer for the more aggressive liquids such as acid. The whole unit is housed in a cosmetically appealing, modern-looking housing, made out of polycarbonate and rated to IP65.
The Shorti is a low-cost unit, which comes in two different product lines, the Shorti PVC and the Shorti SW. The Shorti PVC is a unit powered from 24 V d.c. with an analog 4 to 20 mA output. This unit can be used for continuous level measurement on liquid level applications.
The Shorti SW is a unit powered by 110 V a.c. or 220 V a.c. with a programmable relay output. This unit can be used for a non-contact ultrasonic level switch, for point level control or for pump control. This unit can also be used for continuous level measurement on liquid level applications. Other features of the Shorti are on screen display of temperature, mA signal (Shorti PVC), echo size in volts, level, distance and relay status (on the Shorti SW).
