Alltron Instruments' new range of flow switches (manufactured by Sitron) are cost-effective thermal dispersion flow switch monitors. These compact switches have no moving parts and they can monitor the flow of liquid, air, and gas in pipes and ducts for control purposes.
The flow rate is displayed on a chain row of eight LEDs, and a centre dichromatic LED that shows the status of the flow. The same model can be used for liquids and air/gas. Sitron features two integral RTDs. One RTD that is heated above the medium, and one RTD to measure the temperature of the medium, to compensate for any change in temperature of the process medium. Sitron's series of flow switches are available in five different models that provide for different power supply, output (relay or 4-20 mA), environmental and connection requirements, and length sizes to suit any pipe.
