RKC Instrument has designed and manufactured the SA100 socket mounting type digital temperature controller. This instrument can simply be mounted on DIN rail with a DIN rail mounting socket. The maintenance is simple, as the unit can be removed from the socket.
Two points of outputs can be used as control, alarm or analog retransmission. The SA100 lends itself to various applications such as temperature controller and overheat protection unit, etc.
This unit comes with two optional alarm points, which can be configured for specific applications. The alarm types are temperature, set value and loop break alarm. An analog output is available so that the process value can retransmit an analog signal to a remote instrument such as a recorder or data logging equipment. There is also an optional digital contact input for run/stop and SV1/SV2 switching.
The Heat/Cool PID controller has heat and cool outputs for use where process-generated heat exists. The controller allows the input of overlap or deadband settings, which can contribute to energy savings.
There is an optional RS485 communications interface for networking to computers, PLCs and scada software. MODBUS or ANSI protocol can be selected. With the SA100, the user has a choice of two types of PID constants tuning methods: Self-tuning and autotuning.
