The SA200 high performance temperature controller is 1/32 DIN size, with a dual display. Good for applications where panel space is critical yet maximum performance is required, the SA200 has been designed for close vertical or horizontal mounting. "The compact size of this controller enables twice as many units to be mounted on a single panel whilst their clear LCDs ensure optimum visibility," states Andy Brown of Temperature Controls.
The controller offers an optional RS485 communications interface for networking to computers, PLCs and scada software. Either MODBUS or ANSI protocols can be selected, and up to 32 units, including the host computer, can be multidropped on one RS485 line. Further, an optional digital contact input is available for run/stop and SV1/SV2 switching. The unit also features self-tuning and auto tuning with loop break alarm and temperature alarms. A waterproof and dustproof feature protects the instrument in severe environments or wash-down conditions and conforms to IP66 standards.
"This full house of features is an ideal solution in all applications where space is critical. These controllers have already found application in the plastics industry," adds Brown.
