Land is offering a chilled and fresh food temperature monitoring system especially designed for the food industry providing fast, dependable measurement. Vanguard is a non-contact food thermometer system that changes the way chilled and fresh food temperatures are monitored at distribution.
The system has been developed following extensive trials to reduce product waste and streamline the transfer of packaged food products. Vanguard provides a fast, accurate means of checking that food temperatures have been maintained through the distribution chain and are within the limits set by food safety legislation.
The temperature measurement process is non-destructive and non-intrusive. Produce is simply placed on the sapphire window in the top of the stainless steel enclosure. The operator presses a button and the product temperature is displayed within seconds. Vanguard integrates with existing temperature check and quality procedures.
Vanguard saves both time and money as measurements are taken in seconds not minutes, and there is no waste due to the non-destructive testing of the product. Typical system payback is in three weeks, depending on the application. The system has a 2°C accuracy, a 10 s response time, and an operating temperature measurement range from -25 to +20°C.
