RBF switchgear for Iscor's Vanderbijl plant

Johannesburg-based RBF Technology was recently awarded three separate orders for the manufacture and supply of motor control centres and PLC panels for Iscor's Blast Furnace D Upgrade.
The orders were placed by Honeywell, Murray and Roberts, and Nado Construction. The PLC panels feature Honeywell C200 processors mounted into RBF's double-sided B100 enclosures. Approximately 2000 I/O will be used in this case.
The MCCs are RBF's B100 range and include a variety of drives, solenoid circuits and relay compartments. Each MCC also features its own dedicated PLC panel with glass-front doors. Allen Bradley equipment was chosen for the Motor Control Centres, which are fully type-tested in accordance with SANS 1473-1 Protocols.
