General purpose flow monitor
July 2004
Flow Measurement & Control
FCI's 12-64B flow monitor is a general purpose device for use over a wide flow range. Any type of external control system can be actuated from either the normally open or normally closed output contacts of the onboard DPDT relay.
The flow monitor has a setpoint range in water based liquids from 0,005 to 0,15 mps, with hydrocarbon-based liquids its range is from 0,003 to 0,61 mps and with air or gas the range is from 0,3 to 38 mps.
Its sensing element and modular control circuit are mounted in a rugged aluminium enclosure approved for hazardous location service. The wetted surfaces of the sensing element are 316 stainless steel with nickel-braze providing resistance to most liquid, gaseous and particulate media.
The 12-64B has an adjustable response time of 10 to 300 s and a 1% repeatability of the full signal range at constant process conditions. The flow element is suitable for use in an operating temperature range from -73 to +177°C and with an operating pressure up to 20,7 MPa.
