The XP2i's stainless steel case is fully sealed, meeting NEMA 4 and IP66 ratings. The units have intrinsic safety to Class I, Division 1, groups A,B,C & D and temperature code T4 which make it unique in this market. All electronics are cushioned by a shock-absorbing mounting making it very tough.

The large 16 mm, five-digit display with back lighting is easy to read day or night. The display is protected by a hard, durable polycarbonate lens. The unit can be supplied with a dual display allowing the live and the peak pressure to be displayed.

The XP2i provides total accuracy within 0,1% of reading from 20% to 100% of range. This is like deadweight testers but unlike deadweight testers, they are not affected by ambient temperature or local gravity. The XP2i is fully temperature compensated, so the accuracy is the same over the entire operating temperature range.

The device is suitable for replacing mechanical test gauges, as it has no moving parts, it is more accurate and durable and has 3 times the over pressure rating. A range of 10 mechanical gauges can be replaced with 3 or 5 XP2i Digital Gauges.

All wetted parts are made of 316 stainless steel. The unit is powered by three, size AA, batteries with 1500 hours use - unlike most gauges, which are powered by special batteries. Other features include a field-convertible case, a back connection for panel mounting, an RS232 communications port and peak high and peak low values.
