Particularly good for corrosive and wash-down environments, Timecount now supplies Multivo absolute encoders with stainless steel housings. The units offer high protection against mechanical stress and load, withstanding shock to 2000 m/s2 and vibration at 200 m/s2.
These singleturn and multiturn encoders are designed without a mechanical gear, detecting rotation electronically using magnetically triggered sensors. By combining the units with interchangeable bus covers containing integrated fieldbus interfaces, this encoder can adapt to all commonly used bus systems such as Profibus-DP, CAN, CANopen, SSI and DeviceNet.
Maximum resolution is 29-bit programmable: 13-bit singleturn 1 up to 8192 steps/rev and 16-bit multiturn 1 up to 65536 steps/rev. All functions, including operating modes, preset value and scale are programmable. Supply voltage is 10... 30 V d.c.
