Temperature Measurement

Accurate, portable logging of food temperature

January 2004 Temperature Measurement News

Temperature measurement of perishable foodstuff during treatment, transportation or storage is made easy with the new Ebro temperature logger from Instrotech.

The logger is the convenient size of an ice hockey puck. It can be used in containers, dry or wet rooms, even submersed in water (for deep sea temperature recordings) or in-situ in processing tanks (milk, yoghurt, etc), Measuring range is from -25 to 40°C. It is placed in a container and retrieved later to download the time/temperature information to a PC. The memory can store up to 4000 readings.

The system has application for the farmer, the transporter, the processor through to the produce stockist. It is particularly of value for verifying that foodstuffs have been kept at required temperatures as printouts can be provided for full analysis and documentation.
