High vibration immunity, low pressure loss and a cost-saving batching software option are some of the enhancements that make Endress+Hauser's PROLine Promass I Coriolis flowmeter well suited for the food industry.

Hygienically designed, Promass I is a balanced single-tube system that is valuable for applications where careful handling of the product is necessary, such as yoghurt with fruit pieces, or in applications where low pressure loss is important, for example sugar solutions with high viscosity.

Extended functionality is also offered. Further to the basic measured variables of mass flow, density and temperature, Promass I allows for additional measured variables, such as volume flow, standard density and standard volume flow, to be calculated. The new concentration measurement software option provides for the possibility of calculating % mass or % volume shares of two-phase fluids, or converting the measured density into special units, such as % alcohol or °Brix.

Based on proven technology, Promass I's batching software eliminates the need for a separate batch controller. The batching option offers a wide range of convenient functions for simple operation, whereby a maximum of six predefined batches can be accessed at the push of a button. Significant savings are made, as control of the recipes is shifted directly to the field operation, leaving mainframe systems free for monitoring and co-ordination.
