Compact PLC has no need for bulky rack

CJ1 PLC modules from Omron (available through Yelland Control) connect together using reliable, high-quality locking connectors. This eliminates the need for a bulky PLC rack, and makes the CJ1 fast and easy to configure and install in control panels. The intelligence core of a PLC is its CPU. CPUs for the CJ1 range from cost-effective units (for simple sequence control) to ultra-fast, high-capacity models, handling up to 2560 I/O points. The main benefit to the user is that any PLC module may be mounted on CPU type. This reduces the number of different product families for which users will have to keep modules in stock.

Built-in routing functions allow seamless communication over multiple network layers. Programming and data transfer are fully transparent through open networks like Ethernet, Profibus DP and DeviceNet, as well as Omron's cost-effective propriety networks. CJ1's open communication units allow the PLCs to communicate with nearly any third party device.

Specialised control units for motion and temperature control take the load off the CPU's tasks and allow for easy, structured programming. This with the seamless communications allows for fully distributed machine control - which is configurable through any access point in the network. Analog and digital I/O units that range from basic to ultra-compact, high-density models, can be placed anywhere in the system, enabling the user to distribute any of the functions where they are needed.
