Hot spot detection

e2v technologies' Argus 3 thermal imaging camera is able to detect dangerous hot spots such as potential fires in wires and junction boxes, motors, gearboxes, distribution panels and bus bars. Routine maintenance can be carried out on plant rooms and thermal images recorded, thus compiling an accurate log of monitors for external audits.

Utilising infrared imaging, the camera is well suited to preventative maintenance as it is able to monitor any changes in components and to source electrical connections that become hot due to overloads, high resistance or similar defects. Argus 3 is able to examine hazardous or flammable storage containers to prevent future damage.
