Compact ultrasonic level transmitter

The Shorti range of ultrasonic level transmitters is capable of measuring liquid levels up to 5 m and solids up to 3 m. The Shorti is a compact unit, consisting of an integral transducer, keypad and LCD display, as a standard feature. The transducer is available in PVC for normal liquid applications, or an optional PTFE transducer for the more aggressive liquids such as acid. The whole unit is housed in a cosmetically appealing modern looking housing, made out of polycarbonate and rated to IP65.
The Shorti PVC is a unit powered by 24 V d.c. with an analog 4 to 20 mA output. This unit can be used for continuous level measurement on most liquid level applications. Programming of the unit is very simple. In set-up mode, the Shorti displays a few simple questions on the LCD display, which is then entered by the user on the 5-key keypad. In run mode, the user can select whether to display the actual distance, mA signal, temperature (transducer has built in temperature compensations) or the echo signal strength.
