The range of Camille Bauer Kinax transducers, available from Timecount, has increased the angle of rotation measurement to 350° where previously the capability was to 270°. This covers the full series of angular position and position feedback instruments, which incorporate a patented contactless capacitive sensor system to reduce wear. The Kinax 2W2 are compact units suitable for building into OEM equipment. Measuring ranges of 0-10 to 0-50 or 0-50 to 0-350°, direction of shaft rotation, characteristic, switching point and other functions are programmable via PC.
The Kinax WT717 is a rugged surface mount unit used in harsh environments such as machinery and shipbuilding, while the WT711 is suited for surface mounting into equipment and apparatus. They can be used in explosive areas and conform to IS protection standard Eex ia IIC T6.
Also within the Kinax range is the position/displacement transmitter, type SR719, measuring from 0-10 to 140 mm for applications such as valves, slicks and other actuators. The measuring range is adjustable by varying the leverage, fine adjustment with potentiometer to optimise measuring spans to individual requirements. Measuring outputs for the Kinax transducers is 4 to 20 mA, 2-wire connection.
