A typical crane control application is the gantry crane. In this case, crane control can be used not only for the travel axes but also for the hoist axis.
The travel distance in the travel axis must be limited by a limit switch. Normally, in addition there will also be speed reduction switches installed to reduce the speed towards the end of the travel stretch. For safety reasons, the limit switches must also be monitored.
With the SEW-Eurodrive solution, parameters replace the programming using Movidrive that comes with a built-in 'crane control' application module. This module is part of the Movitools software and it can be enabled as soon as the licence is purchased. The user-friendly interface guides the user through the process of entering the parameters. Only those parameters required for the specific application, such as fixed setpoint, ramps and speed, need be entered.
The application module uses these parameters to generate the control programme and then loads it into the inverter. The Movidrive then takes over complete control of the motion processes. There is also an option to select whether the inverter is controlled by means of variable speed selection or by fixed setpoints. In addition to gantry cranes, the 'crane control' application module can naturally also be used for further applications such as for tower cranes.

Water is one of the most destructive contaminants in lubricants. Demulsifier additives prevent the formation of a stable oil-water mixture or an emulsion by changing the interfacial tension of the oil so that water will coalesce and separate more readily from the oil.
