A new fast digital controller has been designed and produced to suit applications requiring fast control response and a high degree of control accuracy. This new instrument is the RKC HA900 series digital PID controller. This state-of-the-art controller has a high speed sampling time of 25 ms (0,025 s), and a RTP (rapid thermal process) and complex process application such as flow, pH, level and pressure.
These controllers feature a full five-digit display of both process value (PV) and a set point value (SV) which offers high resolution to 0,1°C for the most common thermocouple inputs, 11 options, and 0,1°C for the RTD inputs (DIN or IEC or JIS) options standard process inputs (eight options).
This high-speed sampling controller is available in several variants, which offers dual or single loop control, multimemory areas selection, conventional PID or PID ramp control and even cascade control. Thirty two segments of ramp or soak function are available utilising the multimemory area, and the function of this area allows up to 16 sets of control parameter settings which are stored in memory and then selected from either the front face or via digital contact input.
The 'Brilliant PID' control algorithm is utilised with the HA900 series, because it has a new power feed forward function that makes up for the power supply fluctuations that can adversely affect the accuracy of precise temperature and process control applications. The user also has a selection of up to three variable alarm settings, as well as serial communication ports to communicate to host PCs and selected PLC devices.
