A 4U 19" rackmount IPC chassis, able to hold a 14-slot PCI/ISA passive back plane, is available with various power supply options. The IPC-616 from ProMicro is a sensible platform for PC-based servers and CT/network applications. The chassis is equipped with either a PS/2 type 300 W a.c. or 310 W 48 V d.c. power supply, or a 300 W hot-swap redundant power supply.

A removable disk drive bay accommodates up to three half-height drives, as well as one 3,5" FDD and one 3,5" internal HDD. An audible alarm and nine LEDs indicate system failure.

Constructed from heavy-duty steel, the chassis is suitable for use in a 0-40°C temperature range, and two front-access hot-swap cooling fans with air filters make maintenance easy.
