Information Security
With a response time of only 50 ms, Wenglor's two new fork-type laser light barriers are capable of registering 10 000 objects per second. The fine, non-divergent laser beam assures uniform precision over the entire fork opening at a resolution of 5 µm.
Differentiated teach-in technology allows for effortless alignment of the barriers to a wide variety of objects, even if they are transparent. For example, the fork light barriers have no trouble recognising clear glass.
The sensor can be easily aligned to any desired scanning position on the object with the help of the red laser spot. Adjustable time delay allows for reliable evaluation of the switching signal at interconnected analysers. Both fork light barriers are equipped with identical features and are available with widths of 30 and 80 mm, and with PNP and NPN output stages, which can be programmed as normally closed or normally open contacts.
Wenglor Sensoric of Tettnang, Germany, is represented in South Africa by ASSTech.
