Timesaver TO-220 heatsink

May 2003 Temperature Measurement Products & Solutions

The 5768 series is a clip-on heatsink for TO220 package devices with four spring-action clips that eliminate the problem of gaps by applying pressure in four places on the plastic package - right where cooling is required. This ensures a tight fit between semiconductor and heatsink. The result is good metal-to-metal thermal contact - and superior thermal performance.

Suitable for vertical or horizontal mounting, they can be furnished without tabs or with tinned brass tabs for wave soldering, directly to PC boards. Fins on both sides of the heatsink present little obstruction to air circulation, resulting in effective heat removal in either vertical or horizontal position.
