Valves for low and high temperature gas applications

Mitech's damper valves are specifically used by the local industry and their largest damper supplied to date is 1,8 m in diameter and was made from stainless steel. The locally designed and manufactured dampers are generally used on low pressure and high temperature gas applications. Dampers can be supplied for working pressure up to 3 MPa.

Dampers are essentially butterfly valves with no seat.

When the valve is in the closed position about 1% of the maximum flow will pass between the disk and the body making them unsuitable where tight shut-off is required.

Mitech manufactures both single, or double door dampers and usually fit their own double crank rotary actuator and positioner to the dampers for control.
