Hegwein gas burners

Electrical Power & Protection
Hegwein has been supplying gas burners in compact versions with integrated spark transformer and flame monitor or burner control for more than 50 years.
One of the most remarkable advantages a Hegwein burner offers is the metal housing into which all electrical components are integrated. This guarantees electromagnetic compatibility and eliminates any problems that could be caused during installation and commissioning by the laying of high tension cables. The flame signal is also processed directly in the burner’s power head. Hegwein burners can be employed in a wide variety of configurations, including side-fired, ceiling-fired or bottom-fired applications.
Four series of burners are available, each with different features. The BR… series (intermittent operation) and BD… series (continuous operation) feature a compact design with integrated ignition transformer and burner control in a single metal housing. These are ideal for most new plants, and have guaranteed electromagnetic compatibility with minimal installation costs.
The BA… series (intermittent operation) and BDA… series (continuous operation) have the most compact design available with integrated flame monitor and ignition transformer. Installation costs are minimal and electromagnetic compatibility is ensured. These burners can be hooked into the burner control through a Hegwein flame relay with voltage-free contacts.
The BT… series has a compact design with a built-in ignition transformer, and also provides guaranteed electromagnetic compatibility. The burners in this series can be connected to any burner management system already on site to provide ionisation flame monitoring.
The BG… series has no built-in electrical components. This model is recommended for applications with ambient temperatures in excess of 60°C or combustion air temperatures up to 400°C.
All of the above burner series offer the following advantages: seven burner sizes ranging from 15 kW to 2 MW/50 000 BTU/h to 7 000 000 BTU/h; built-in ionisation electrode; and EC approved flame monitor and burner control design. Fuel types include natural gas, conditioned coke oven gas, propane/butane or process gas, according to customer preference and analysis. Additional features include single stage, dual stage or modulated operation, wide turn down ratio and tube lengths provided according to customer requirements, available in 10 mm increments.
Various special versions such as high velocity or flat flame burners and systems for back pressures up to 16 bar can be supplied.
