Schneider Electric introduces Easy UPS 3S to Africa

September 2018 News

Schneider Electric South Africa has announced the launch of its Easy UPS 3S in Africa.

Making business continuity easy for small and medium businesses, Easy UPS 3S is a 10–40 kVA UPS that offers robust electrical specifications and compact design.

Easy to install, easy to use, and easy to service, the UPS is an exceptional combination of optimised footprint design and advanced product features, providing protection for critical equipment from damage due to power outages, surges and spikes. It delivers up to 96% efficiency in double conversion mode and up to 99% efficiency in energy-saving ECO mode, taking standards for the 10-40 kVA UPS to a new level.

“Easy UPS 3S addresses a market need we have seen for a solution that offers best-in-class power availability, reliability, manageability, quality, and convenience for small and medium businesses, data centres, and manufacturing facilities,” says Riaan de Leeuw, vice president, Schneider Electric ITD Anglophone Africa.

Rugged, with a wide input voltage window and strong overload protection, this new offering has been designed and tested following rigorous Schneider Electric procedures, making it an excellent fit in both the data centre space and in light industrial environments.

“It rolls into position quickly and installation is straightforward,” explains de Leeuw. “It features an intuitive display interface for easy configuration and monitoring, and customers can manage the UPS status remotely through Schneider Electric’s EcoStruxure IT cloud-based and on premise software suites.”

In addition, Easy UPS 3S boasts short delivery time and wide variety of applications to make it easily adaptable for any small and medium business.

“Schneider Electric South Africa’s global service setup, with strong, local networks of service specialists, provides our customers with a full range of services throughout the complete product life cycle,” concludes de Leeuw.
