Instrument Plastics specialises in the manufacture and supply of optical grade contrast enhancement filters for electronic displays. These include optical anti-reflective coated filter plastics. The Optolite HSR range is commonly used for electronic displays. These filters are designed to enhance display readability by improving contrast and reducing reflections, while also providing protection and improving overall appearance.
Optolite HSR AR is an optical material with a broadband AR coating applied to both sides. The anti-reflective coating is hard-wearing and perfect for direct sunlight readability displays. Its unique characteristics surpass some of the most prominent materials. Instrument Plastics has a proven track record in display filter technology, with handheld instrumentation and a footprint in military environments.
The Optolite HSR AR can be purchased as a clear or EMI-shielded sheet, with thicknesses ranging from 1 to 8 mm.
The optical surface can either be clear gloss or it can have a non-glare finish. The material is highly scratch and chemical resistant throughout. Optolite HSR AR has the advantage of light weight and is a tough alternative to glass. It can be easily machined and drilled if required.
