Parker Hannifin has introduced a new high-performance PU-cover rubber hose range for low and medium pressure applications. For the new PU-cover hose range 462PU, 692PU and 837PU-Plus, Parker has employed a combination of synthetic rubber and polyurethane. Due to the manufacturing process and the fusion of the two materials, the new hose range reaches innovative possibilities in terms of quality and product properties.
The outstanding technical characteristics of rubber, employed in combination with the premium quality polyurethane cover material, makes the Parker PU-cover rubber hoses suitable for various applications where high flexibility, tight bend radii, abrasion, ozone, weathering and seawater resistance are the critical factors. The Parker PU-Cover rubber hose range share additional characteristics of mechanical strength, flexibility, extended oil compatibility (due to the inner tubes), shock resistance and extraordinary damping properties.
Due to the high performance of the PU-cover in abrasion, ozone and cold resistance, the 462PU is the preferred solution for the more demanding environment conditions in the construction equipment applications. The PU-cover also delivers the possibility to produce twin hoses at even higher working pressures than standard rubber hoses. 462PU will also answer the requirements of the larger materials handling applications where higher working pressures and higher abrasion resistance are the critical factors.
The 692PU is the recommended hose for all materials handling applications. The hose types 462PU and 692PU also meet the abrasion challenges of over-the-sheave applications of twin hose.
The 837PU-Plus, on the other hand, is a low-pressure push-lok hose and the preferred applications include cooling circuits and compressed air in hose bundles, car production lines, machine tools and PET blow moulding machines. In all these applications, the hoses are exposed to constant friction. Available in five different colours for its cover, the 837PU-Plus is especially suitable for multi-line assemblies conveying different media or for colour-coded supply and return lines.
