New energy saving centrifugal pump
September 2015
Valves, Actuators & Pump Control
LEO has introduced the reliable and highly efficient XST series of standard centrifugal pumps with axial suction and radial discharge. Compared with conventional end suction centrifugal pumps, the XST requires 33% less space than conventional types and is easy to install. The monoblock design improves performance with 70% less maintenance cost.
Designed in accordance with ISO 2858 and EN 733 standards, the pumps are ideal for circulation and transfer of clean, chemically non-aggressive liquids. Thanks to the new wetted part design of the impeller and pump body, the pump efficiency is 3 to 8% higher than conventional end suction centrifugal pumps. The XST has a flow of up to 220 m3/h, a head of up to 95 metres and a 0,75 to 55 kW power range. The pumps are suited for use in medium temperatures from -10 to 85°C as standard (optional -20 to 120°C).
The pump body, impeller and bracket are treated by a special e-coating which gives better corrosion resistance. The integrated pump cover and front motor cover reduce the possibility of pump damage. Both the pump shaft and motor shaft have no coupling connection (pump with power of 7,5 kW and below). This increases pump efficiency and reduces wearing parts.
Typical applications include boosting water pressure, irrigation, water circulation in air conditioning systems, commercial use and small HVAC systems. XST pumps are also suited for firefighting systems and for cooling in industrial applications.
