Meter station applications
Flowmeters require calibration to verify accuracy. During meter calibration every closed valve in the system must seal drop-tight as even a small leak will cause errors in the calibration. The subsequent incorrect meter factor will persist until the next proving operation and the resultant incorrect flow measurements can result in the loss of significant amounts of revenue.
Heaton Valves Africa proved to its client during a recent field acceptance test that every one of the 64 Orton actuated triple eccentric valves supplied for a project produced zero leakage test results.
Heaton Valves Africa now has a fully maintainable triple eccentric valve that can be installed in a meter station and quickly and easily be shown to be holding tight. This means correct calibration every time.
