The Raytek CM range of compact integrated IR thermometers has a relay output that switches the 24 VDC supply at the programmed temperature. What is more, this rugged IP65 sealed sensor also has the capability of giving an analogue output with Type J or K thermocouples.
The CM unit is small in size, but has precision high-resolution silicon optics that provide excellent optical resolution at an attractive price. Configuration is achieved via an RS-232 digital interface which allows the user to configure sensor variables using the powerful Raytek DataTemp Multidrop software (supplied with each unit). These include a 24 VDC alarm output triggered by target temperature or head ambient temperature, peak hold, valley hold, variable averaging signal processing and adjustable target emissivity settings. The built-in sensor health LED provides a convenient indicator of the operating status and also indicates if the unit is in the selected alarm state.
The Raytek CM’s remote configuration capability allows it to be configured for virtually any application, reducing installation and troubleshooting time, and streamlining data acquisition. The sensor is designed to measure target temperatures ranging from -20 to 500°C without cooling.
