With 20 years of experience in FMCW radar level transmitters, and an antenna specifically designed to prevent deposit of dust, Krohne has introduced an appropriate solution for solids level measurement: Optiwave 6300 C.

State-of-the-art instrument for solid applications

Contactless radar level measurement of powder granulates and bulk solids in buffer silos, hoppers, bulk storage containers and on conveyor belts. Optiwave 6300 C is ideal for a large number of industries such as minerals and mining, food & beverage, chemicals, pulp & paper and power.

The radar sends a powerful signal into silos for clear vision even through conditions of severe dust. Due to its continuous wave generation, the device does not require expensive antenna aiming kits. Its innovative drop antenna made of plain PP or PTFE minimises product build-up, making purging systems obsolete and the device maintenance free.

The instrument is a contactless 2-wire 24-26 GHz FMCW radar level measurement device for solids applications. All antennas can be retrofitted with extensions and for drop antennas in corrosive atmospheres, a flange protection made of PP or PTFE is also available. Purging systems are standard with horn antennas. The device is ATEX certified and FM/CSA approval is pending. Maximum temperature and pressure depends on the antenna and gasket materials.

Applications include storage in silos and hoppers.
