Analytical Instrumentation & Environmental Monitoring

The analysis of water

April 2014 Analytical Instrumentation & Environmental Monitoring

The modern water testing laboratory faces a complex and ever changing set of analytical challenges. Environmental testing facilities are subject not only to local regulations (i.e. municipal and international regulatory agencies), but also are often given extremely strict performance specifications by a growing number of customers with their own demanding requirements. Teledyne Leeman Labs atomic spectroscopy instruments are designed to exceed the analytical requirements or most laboratories and their clients. As capital equipment budgets continue to shrink, it is important to make sure any analytical instrument purchase will provide the performance and capabilities required today, as well as in the future.

Advantages of the Prodigy 7

The Prodigy 7 is the synthesis of advanced technology and user simplicity. The summation of years of refinement, it has distinct advantages over other inductively coupled plasma spectrometers (ICPs):

* Large format advanced CMOS array detector for true simultaneous measurement. Cutting edge solid-state detector is designed specifically for ICP-OES, and exclusive only to the Prodigy7 ICP.

* Full wavelength coverage from 135-1100 nm (with halogen detector option).

* Low stray light optics.

* Full spectral access captures the entire wavelength spectrum in a single reading.

* Available in axial, radial and dual-view configurations.

* Compact bench top design for fast system start up and reduced gas consumption.
