Endress+Hauser’s energy solutions portfolio encompasses single point energy recording, Smart Scale energy solutions and company-wide solutions. In single point energy recording, the energy usage is measured by using Endress+Hauser measuring technology in order to obtain transparency. In company-wide energy solutions the energy evaluation software eSight rounds off the performance package by generating automatic reports and analyses, as well as comparing the energy use of different locations with each other. In between these two systems is Smart Scale energy solutions. This has different energy application packages based on the RSG40 Memograph M, in combination with the field data manager (FDM) software as an analysis device.
Solutions are available for the following energy applications: steam (e.g. boiler efficiency); compressed air (e.g. compressor efficiency); cooling (e.g. cooling system efficiency); heating (e.g. heat boiler efficiency); electricity (e.g. specific energy consumption); and a performance package for data connectivity and integration (e.g. data integration into other systems such as SAP).
Smart Scale energy solutions records the readings gained from individual energy values using the RSG40 Memograph M and stores these in order to carry out higher energy efficiency calculations. By focusing on Smart Scale energy solutions, Endress+Hauser has increased its competitive advantage in this market. The fulfilment of customer needs by scalable solution packages, the higher flexibility and the lower complexity (shorter decision-making processes) all create considerable added value for the customer.
