Metso has recently received several orders for automated process valves from customers in the Asia-Pacific region. These are for mid-size projects where customers are rebuilding their processes in order to improve and maximise process performance, efficiency and safety.
Metso has been chosen as a partner based on long-term relationships and the unique local service it provides to the customers. “We offer professional customer service starting from valve selection and the first sales contact up to mill run-time support, and we assist in all valve-related issues and even beyond that. Our excellent product portfolio matches the requirements of pulp and paper mills perfectly and supports their target to achieve higher quality at a lower cost,” says Esko Ilmonen, vice president, flow control, pulp and paper sales and marketing, Metso Automation.
Most of the valves will be delivered in the first quarter of 2013. The deliveries contain Metso’s Neles metal seated ball valves, V-port segment valves and triple eccentric Neldisc butterfly valves for on-off and control applications. All valves are equipped with pneumatic cylinder actuators and intelligent positioners or limit switches. Material selection includes stainless steel, duplex stainless steel, SMO, Hastelloy and titanium. Deliveries also include high consistency segment valves fulfilling the specific needs of the pulp and paper producers.
