Expert System Solutions (ESS) launched its newest product, Tetra-RTU-SRB, during the recent Critical Communication World conference and exhibition in Paris. The response from the show has been overwhelming and requests have been received from all over the world.
The Tetra-RTU-SRB is a wireless telemetry/telecontrol device capable of connecting to a PLC, scada, discrete IOs, analog inputs and others. The physical connection can be RS-232, RS-485 and LAN (TCP/IP). Protocols that the unit can manage include OPC, Modbus, IEC-8870-5-101, 103 and DNP-3.
Tetra is a mission-critical communication system with over 12 networks already in South Africa (South African Police, municipalities, Sasol, mining houses, airports etc). The feature of the Tetra-RTU-SRB is its reliable wireless data communication.
Founded in 1999, ESS is a design house and manufacturer for wireless telemetry, telecontrol and scada solutions. Products are designed with emphasis on ease of operation, maintenance and efficient data communications (low bandwidth utilisation).
ESS provides solutions to the growing demand for wireless availability and data efficiency in the telemetry industry. It has excellent system knowledge and can offer assistance with network dimensioning for wireless telemetry/telecontrol/scada solutions including wireless communication systems. ESS has a high level experience and valued reputation in the mining industry, local municipalities, oil & gas industry, emergency services and network operators.
