The DensFlow from SWR Engineering reliably measures the flow rate of solids in dense-stream conveying. It is particularly suited for pulverised coal injection systems for coal-fired blast furnaces and pulverised coal feed systems for coal-fired power stations.
DensFlow is suitable for the online measurement of all types of powders and granules and pneumatically dense-phased conveyed materials with large flow rates. It is pressure-resistant up to 25 bar, easily retrofitted and maintenance-free. The sensor pipe housing meets IP65 requirements and unlimited throughput volumes can be measured with a non-contact procedure. Measurement is independent of the flow speed of the material and installation has no affect on the profile, hence there are no dead spots in which residue can form.
The complete measuring unit consists of the DMS 100 sensor (measuring pipe) for installation into the pipe and the DME 100 evaluation unit. The evaluation unit is connected to the pipe by means of a five-wired, shielded cable. The maximum distance between the sensor and evaluation unit is 300 metres.
DensFlow is also ideal for flow metering of coal dust in dense streams in steel plants, single lance monitoring in steel plants during the firing of the oven and flow metering of coal dust in dense streams in steel manufacture.
