Allpronix has introduced the new Kornix JetNet 5728G series high port density rack mount PoE+ switch series that now support IPv6 protocol to improve network management of your high-end applications.
The IPv6 protocol that is supported in the new firmware of the 8, 16 and 24-port PoE switches includes all the mandatory core protocols of IPv6 protocol and is compatible with other IPv6 compliant equipment.
Korenix offers the following features in IPv6 firmware:
* Security through IPv6 SSH & SSL.
* Network management via Ping6, CLI, Telnet and Web.
* IPv6 neighbour discovery.
* IPv6 configuration and firmware upgrades.
Additionally, the new firmware provides IPv6 and IPv4 dual stacks, which enable administrators to use the JetNet 5728G series both in pure IPv4 or IPv6 backbone networks and in mixed IPv4-IPv6 network environments, broadening the flexibility of the switches.
Korenix provides a wide range of switches with IPv6 supported firmware for trouble-free future network expansions:
* JetNet 4508 8-port managed fast Ethernet switch.
* JetNet 4508f 8-port managed fast Ethernet fibre switch.
JetNet 5728G series are high-port density rack mount managed switches with 4 Giga ports and providing 8, 16 and 24 High Power PoE ports for highly critical PoE surveillance applications. The PoE ports offer 30 W of power by the latest IEEE 802.3at PoE+ standard generating over 500 W total power budget (JetNet 5728G-24P). JetNet 5728G series stands out in the industrial surveillance marketplace by their exclusive design: the switches can be flexibly used in various PoE surveillance projects through the supported four powering modes.
In addition to their smart design and MSR and MSTP network redundancy features, the switches support advanced Layer two management features, such as LLDP and patented JetView Pro i2NMS for automatic device discovery and topology drawing, IGMP snooping, DHCP, VLAN and QoS for securing data transmission and enhancing network performance. The rugged fan-less design of the switches with -25 to 65°C operating temperature range guarantees stable operation of the switches in harsh industrial environments, such as for surveillance in public utilities, expressways/highways, traffic control systems, underground mines, collieries and manufacturing plants.
