NewElec’s PMPT enclosure manufacturing facility allows customers to develop their own enclosure design with, for example, sub-D holes, cut-outs, air slots, pocket millings or push-outs. After completion of the prototype, a high quality product in the quantity required can be delivered promptly. The PMPT process allows faster development times with no need to manufacture expensive tools or moulds. Various materials are available, including ABS, acrylics and HIPS, a plastic material with excellent dimensional stability that is easy to fabricate, paint and glue.
NewElec also provides a design service and changes to a prototype or production unit are easily achieved. Holes for example, can be removed or added by simply changing the software program. For a customer trying to sell a prototype device, a major advantage of the PMPT process is that even a one-off has an excellent professional finish. The customer’s own product line can also be personalised completely as an alternative to off-the-shelf enclosures.
