Moxa releases Ethernet/IP integration functionality

July 2012 IT in Manufacturing

Moxa has announced the release of EtherNet/IP integration functions in the latest V3.0 firmware upgrade. The EtherNet/IP integration function provides seamless integration with EtherNet/IP systems, such as Rockwell’s FactoryTalk and RSLogix 5000. With the latest V3.0 firmware, Moxa managed industrial Ethernet switches now can be diagnosed, configured and securely monitored by EtherNet/IP Scada/HMI and PLC.

“EtherNet/IP is commonly used in industrial automation applications, such as water treatment plants, manufacturing facilities and utilities, for communication with various vendors’ control systems such as Rockwell Automation,” says Moxa’s Hochin Yang, product manager of industrial Ethernet infrastructure. “With the free-to-download V3.0 firmware upgrade, in a few simple steps, Moxa managed industrial Ethernet switches become visible, controllable, manageable components in your control network.”

When upgraded to the latest V3.0 firmware, Moxa’s complete portfolio of industrial Ethernet managed switches will continue to feature industrial-grade reliability, network redundancy, seamless integrated security, and best price-to-performance ratio.
